Our little pup MOSHI turned 1 years old (or 7, however you look at it!) on Dec. 10th, 2009!
And as crazy as it sounds and makes me look - we had a birthday party for her on the 11th. I don't care what anyone says, we all had a great time - lots of laughs and fun!
Due to lots of Christmas parties that day - not all the pup-guests were able to come, but we did have fun and LOTS of cake, for both the humans and the dogs! :)
Osa and Ty
Grrma & Papa East
"Mom & Dad" (Tammy & Dustin) were there too, but due to me being 36 weeks prego right now, sooo not in the picture taking mood! haha...I kinda regreat it now, but oh, well! :)
Moshi looking like a conehead in her party hat and getting tummy rubs (her favorite) from "Papa" John.
I went online and was able to purchase a doggie cake mix. After baking it, it was more like a muffin, but the dogs loved it (as you will see in the pics down further). It had apples, parmesan cheese, and all sorts of stuff in it! I made the frosting with lite cream cheese, honey and yogurt (and color paste, which is safe for dogs). With dog-friendly soy dogbone sprinkles.
Moshi checking out her cake, while we sang "Happy Birthday"
(...and while we all tried to control our laughter...)
A little help blowing the candle out!
YUM! Doggie-cake & Doggie-Ice Cream
(freeze dried vanilla ice cream)

:) I love this photo, Moshi in her party dress and hat...having a good time!

Before the party Jorie and her puppy, Buttercup, were able to swing by have a couple early cupcakes and brought Moshi a gift - Moshi got a green squeaky ball with legs and a pink poodle squeaky doll or "baby" as we call them. I think those had to be her favorite gifts of the night!! :) Good Job Buttercup and THANKS!
Our other guests included...

Osa and Moshi couldn't get enough of the cake and ice cream.
They each had two helpings themselves!!
Everybody got to enjoy some cake...I made cupcakes with (my favorite) cream cheese frosting for the humans - that matched the cake INCLUDING the soy dog bone sprinkles (they tasted like marshmallows). They were yummy!
And no party is complete without party favors.. each dog got a little favor bag with their own treats, ball and chewies according to their size!
MOSHI AND HER PARTY SWAG
Moshi made out good for her birthday! She got some new hoodies (and her new birthday dress), a new toy bin (for al her many, many, many, many toys), peanut butter bubbles, and squeaky toys!

(I just included this one, because I love her face...
she looks like she is irritated we are taking, yet another picture! haha!!)
LOVE YOU MOSHI, so glad you are part of our family,
I don't know what we did before we knew and loved you! :)

Next year, I may not do a "party" - but I think I will do a cake for her each year. I mean, how many days in a dogs life do they get to have cake AND ice cream? She loved it and I think that's a fun treat to give her each year on her special day!! Don't you? :)
