My Bed Bug

Madeline is almost two years old - time really does fly by when you are having fun!

She is starting to really turn into that little girl instead of my itty bitty baby... and it is so much fun seeing her discover, talk about and do things that are so "grown up".

First thing I want to remember is her getting-up in the morning ritual:
Now granted this little girl gets up at 6:15am every morning... so I feel for her little body, but nonetheless, we have to "go-go-go" (Mad's on-the-go wording) so we can all get to our places on time in the morning!

I'll go in to the bedroom and turn the light on and she buries her head into the bed covers. Next I go and sit down next to her and say "Madeline time to get up baby girl...." And then rub her back or legs and she starts squirming and she starts flailing about and so on... I'll again say, "Madeline we need to go so you can see Grandma..." and it's another buring of the face into the covers and me having to rip her from her cozy warm bed.

She's so like me, it's scary! haha...

Second thing I want to remember is her going-to bed last night (11/20/11):

Last night I went to bed alone, I was exhausted and she will sometimes stay out in the living room with her daddy (he always stays up late). So I went to bed, and a few minutes later she came looking for me. She came to my side of the bed, trying to get up - so I pulled her up. And she laid next to me (yes, she still sleeps in our bed). She tossed and turned, tossed and turned - made a grunt sound and got off the bed, went to the door and closed it - climbed up on the other side of the bed, got back into her postion on the bed, sighed and went to sleep!

I always close the door to keep the sound of whatever Dustin is doing out in the living room/kitchen out and the light. Well, apparently she has picked up on that and needs that now. She is so funny, I just love her to pieces.

And third thing I want to remember is her waking up in the morning on non-work days (aka sleeping in):

She always wakes ups, rolls over, grabs my face with both of her cute little hands, gives me a big smile and then hugs my face!!

I LOVE THAT GIRL. I don't want her to ever grow up and move away! haha...
