2 Years Old

It's amazing to me how fast kids grow up, especially now that I am a mom.

I swear the next day after Madeline turned 2 - she began changing into more of a little girl, instead of my baby girl! It's sad and exciting.

I love her little sassy attitude and her super tight hugs that she gives that smother the receiver and make her shake with excitement!! Right now she is into anything Disney Princess, Curious George, baby dolls & the movie A Bug's Life. She likes to get Moshi to growl and chase her around the house. She loves to put DVD's into the DVD machine, close it and then steps back to see if it will show up on the TV. She loves to dance and swim. How she likes to fold her arms when we pray and then after a minute she raises her hands and goes, "YAY!" or how she says "shhhhhh", she doesn't put her fingers on her lips and say it, she says it and puts her finger on her teeth! haha...

We discovered at Christmas she is a cookie monster! My mom always makes a large platter of different cookies for the holidays and that kid, I swear ate most of them. I'm still trying to get her to potty train - I was hoping to have it all done before the new baby came, but I'm thinking it might not happen until I am home on maternity leave (sigh...). BUT even though it drives me crazy, I love how she will follow you into the bathroom and sit on her potty chair (or sometimes put a baby doll or barbie on there) and say "pee-pee, pee-pee" (or makes the sound of pee dribbling into the potty) BUT won't for the life of me, go pee on the dang potty!! She doesn't like the potty chair, she only wants to go potty on the actual toilet (but won't even do that on most days). I guess that is a good thing...but???!!! haha... And most of all I love when she still reaches out for me in the middle of the night or cuddles close and hugs my face (yes she still sleeps with us...sue me!). There is so much more, but I'll leave that for her baby book.

We love this little girl and don't know what we did to deserve such a beautiful and fun little girl!
